10 Practical Tips for Your Infocomm 2026 Show Tour in Las Vegas

The countdown to Infocomm 2026 has begun. From June 13 to June 19, 2026, the pro AV world will gather at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas for the most anticipated Infocomm exhibition of the year. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to experience the latest pro AV technologies and get first-hand information about industry trends—from LED displays and digital signage to audio and unified communications.
But a successful show trip is about more than just walking the floor. To help you stay focused, energized, and comfortable, we have put together 10 practical tips covering clothing, food, accommodation, transportation, and more. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned attendee, this guide will make your Infocomm expo 2026 journey smoother and more productive.

1. Choose Comfortable Clothing for Las Vegas Weather

Las Vegas in June is hot and sunny. Daytime highs often reach 38–41°C (100–106°F), while evenings cool down to around 24–27°C (75–80°F). Infocomm 2026 takes place indoors at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is air-conditioned, but you will still walk between halls, outdoor shuttle stops, and nearby hotels.

What to wear:
  • Lightweight, breathable fabrics (cotton, linen, or technical blends)
  • A light jacket or cardigan for indoor air conditioning
  • Sunglasses and a hat for walking outdoors
  • Dress in layers – you will go from hot pavement to chilly meeting rooms

2. Never Underestimate the Power of Good Shoes

You will walk thousands of steps each day during the Infocomm exhibition. The Las Vegas Convention Center is massive – its three halls (West, Central, and South) are connected by long corridors and moving walkways, but you will still cover a lot of ground.

Tip: Leave new dress shoes at home. Opt for broken-in walking shoes, running shoes, or premium sneakers with arch support. If your style requires business casual, consider high-quality loafers with cushioned insoles. Your feet will thank you by day three.

3. Fuel Up at the Convention Center Food Courts

The Infocomm show organizers know attendees need quick, convenient meals. The Las Vegas Convention Center features multiple food sections and concession areas, especially near the main entrance and in the Central Hall. You will find everything from grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and pizza to hot entrees and coffee bars.

Pro tip: Lunch rush is between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM. Eat slightly earlier (11:30 AM) or later (1:45 PM) to avoid long lines. Also, carry a refillable water bottle – hydration stations are available throughout the venue.

4. Explore World-Class Dining After the Show

Las Vegas is a global food destination. After a day of learning and networking at Infocomm 2026, treat yourself to exceptional cuisine. The Strip alone offers over 200 restaurants, from celebrity chef steakhouses to authentic Asian, Italian, Mexican, and vegan spots.

5. Book Your Hotel Room Early

The demand for accommodation spikes dramatically during Infocomm expo 2026. Thousands of AV professionals, exhibitors, and visitors will flood Las Vegas. If you have not already reserved your room, do it immediately.

Smart booking strategy:
Stay near the Convention Center (e.g., Westgate, The Venetian, Wynn, or Hilton Grand Vacations) – you can walk or take a short shuttle ride.

Alternatively, hotels along the Strip (from Sahara to MGM Grand) are within a 10-minute drive or a quick monorail ride.

Critical warning: Avoid hotels in downtown Las Vegas (Fremont Street area). While downtown is fun for one night, it stays noisy until early morning – live music, party crowds, and street performers make sleep nearly impossible. After a full day of walking the Infocomm exhibition, you need quiet rest.

6. Skip the Rental Car – Ridesharing Is Faster and Easier

Las Vegas is a compact, grid-based city. Most convention hotels, restaurants, and attractions are concentrated along the Strip or near the Convention Center. Ridesharing (Uber / Lyft) is everywhere, affordable, and far more convenient than renting a car.

Why not rent?
  • Parking fees at hotels range from $15 to $40 per night.
  • Traffic congestion during conventions can be frustrating.
  • Rental pick-up and drop-off take valuable time.

What works better:

Use Uber/Lyft for trips to off-Strip restaurants or shows.
Take the Las Vegas Monorail (station directly at the Convention Center) for travel along the east side of the Strip.

Many hotels offer free shuttles to the Convention Center – check with your front desk.

7. Beat the Dry Desert Air – Bring Lotion & Lip Balm

Las Vegas sits in the Mojave Desert, with extremely low humidity (often below 20% in June). Your skin and lips will dry out faster than you expect – especially after spending hours in air-conditioned halls.

Essentials to pack:
  • A small travel lotion (ceramides or hyaluronic acid work well) – apply after washing hands.
  • Lip balm with SPF – cracked lips are painful and distract you from networking.
  • Eye drops if you wear contacts – dry air plus screen fatigue is a real issue.

Leave these in your day bag. Reapply throughout the day. A tiny inconvenience that saves a lot of discomfort.

8. Plan Your Floor Walk Before You Arrive

The Infocomm exhibition is huge – over 500,000 net square feet of exhibits. Without a plan, you will waste hours wandering and miss key booths. Use the official Infocomm 2026 mobile app (released about 3–4 weeks before the show) to:

Search exhibitors by product category (LED, audio, control systems, etc.)
  • Bookmark must-see booths
  • Schedule meeting times with vendors
  • View floor maps and wayfinding

9. Stay Charged – Portable Battery & USB Cable

Between taking photos of interesting displays, scanning QR codes for product info, messaging colleagues, and using the show app, your phone battery will drain quickly. The Convention Center has some charging stations, but they are often occupied.

Smart move: Carry a 10,000mAh or larger power bank and a short USB-C (or Lightning) cable. Many exhibitors also have seating areas with outlets – do not be shy to sit down for 10 minutes and recharge both yourself and your device.

10. Keep an Open Mind & Network Intentionally

Finally, the best tip for any Infocomm show is to talk to people. The latest technologies are amazing, but the real value comes from conversations – with booth staff, fellow visitors, and industry veterans. Ask questions, exchange business cards, and attend educational sessions whenever your schedule allows.

A note from Redot LED Visual: Unfortunately, due to timing constraints, Redot LED Visual cannot make it to Infocomm 2026. We will miss connecting with our partners and customers in Las Vegas this June. However, we are already looking forward to the next Infocomm exhibition – and we hope to see you there in person. Until then, enjoy the show, stay hydrated, and make the most of your Infocomm expo 2026 experience.
